Why, he even takes time to pick a fight with Rush Limbaugh in the middle of trying to convince the Republicans to vote for his PORKULUS package. Obama must think that all Americans are idiots since he has cast his spell over them. Well, I for one is immune to his charming ways. I think Obama is an amateur trying to pass himself off as the Divine Messiah. To which I say, "No Way. He's not fooling me."

This guy is no different than Bill Clinton. All he knows to do is to run for office. He is already campaigning for reelection. Note how he is planning on spending lots of your children's money right around 2010 and 2012. How convenient and all under the guise of trying to stimulate the sagging economy this year. What a croc.

That is why the economy is not the only thing sagging. Look at his lips. They are sagging under the burden of lying.

Being Uncommon

I am listening to Coach Tony Dungy being interviewed by Rush Limbaugh on his talk show. The subject deals with becoming somebody "uncommon". The premise, as I understand it, borders on striving to be uniquely different from the mainstream or stereotypical not only in the way you serve others but in the way you live your life. Coach Dungy talks about folks preoccupied with "image" and missing the more important point of being who you are to the core. Finding your faith, your life's purpose, the gifts you have been given - and keep your personal communications with God open. When you find that which you love doing, dig deeper and find out why you feel this way about it. What makes you respond to the job - no matter how hard it may be - with enthusiasm, with zeal, and with focus. The answers will come not all at once. God will reveal the answers to you over time. This is how you grow - spiritually and temporally (your soul and being). There will be set backs. Set backs are inherently part of things of this world. But if you keep your faith and know exactly who you are, then you can get back on track - get back on the horse - a matter of speaking.

Porkulis, Porcinus, Porkorama

How am I supposed to feel after B. Hussein Obama's minions in the Senate and Congress passed this obscene spending bill on the backs of Americans yet to be born? The only ray of sunshine from this ugly scene is the fact that the Republicans united against it. Not even the RINOs voted for it.

As a conservative, this claim, by the Democrats, of "stimulating" the economy by funneling millions into the Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) cause means that they may be promoting more sex earlier, more varied sex techniques, a much looser sexual practice, sex without regard to consequences and so on. Why else would they be financing the cause for STDs? Let's see, stimulating the economy via STD funding. . . is that toward the direction of prostitution promotion? After all that is the oldest profession.

Democrats may very well be gloating at this time from their decisive victory. Okay. Go ahead. Sow the seeds and make up your bed. Is Spring already here? I suspect that the songbirds making all that racket had to be those brown sparrows. They are the ones that never leave - not even in the cold of winter. I see them hopping from bare tree limb to limb. I think these sparrows are pretty smart really. They know that without leaves, the trees can't hide the many insects clinging to their branches. Easy pickings.

This morning, just as I do every morning, I opened the garage door for my wife, who was on her way to work. That's when I heard the birds singing. How beautiful they sounded. Their singing brought hope and some color to the otherwise grey, nude and leafless oak trees. Amazing how nature becomes alive - all at the sound of birds singing.

I went back inside savoring the sparrow's singing. Thank you God for creating such feathered creatures.

Behold! The Beauty of God's creation

I am jazzed every morning as I wake up to the rooster crowing next door. It's signaling the beginning of yet another day. The inevitable sunrise soon warms up the sleeping trees, even as the blades of grass hurry to absorb every bit of the evening dew. The dogs are slowly awakening, barking at the squirrels busying themselves for the day's nut hunts. Looking through my window that overlooks the vegetable garden I can see the chayote vines getting more lush as they climb the trellis over the pump house. Soon their fruits shaped like pears will begin to emerge from underneath all that green foliage. There will be chicken stew served for dinner with a little bit of ginger and onion. Hmmm... how wonderful life is indeed.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tagudinian.blogspot.com/2007/07/behold-beauty-of-gods-creation.html' title='Behold! Would you like to vacation in a place that is the best kept secret of Asia? Well, that strikes out from the list places like, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Vietnam, Kuala Lumpur, Banda Ache, Shrilangka, Bali, Fiji. You see, these places are no longer secret get-away places. They are well-trodden tourist places.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I recommend the nortwestern coast of the Philippines. Yes, northwest of Manila, northwest of Baguio, down in the lowland coastal areas. I am talking more specifically about the town of Tagudin, in the province of Ilocos Sur. You can vacation there for less than $50.00 a day. This will pay for your food, lodging, and transportation.

You can take a Philippine Air Lines flight from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Manila International Airport, then take an air-conditioned bus ride to the province. The bus ride itself will be an experience. Dress lightly since the Philippines is in the tropics. Be prepared to mingle with the local folks, sample their local cuisine and fresh fruits, and be ready to walk.

Your rewards will be manifold. Filipinos from the northwestern coast are mostly Ilocanos. They do speak English and you will be able to communicate with even the small vegetable vendor in the general market place. You will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, a hospitable people and wide open spaces. The beaches along the South China Sea are mostly unoccupied and you will be free to walk and enjoy the surrounding serenity.

How do I know about all these places? I was born and raised there before I came to America. I visited there last year and it still is a veritable, unspoiled paradise... and most affordable!

English for the Philippines

In a column in THE LONG VIEW (Inquirer), Misplaced emphasis on English, by Manuel L. Secondly, reforms should be reforms, not a reactionary attempt to simply decree an English-speaking campaign."

I say that if the Constitution is the problem, let us amend the Constitution. I believe that President Arroyo has only good intentions in mind with her decree to have English used as the medium of instruction in Philippine schools. She wants Filipinos the world over to be more competitive and be more marketable. What is wrong with that?
